MAGYARMET Finomöntöde Bt. are the leading investment foundry in Hungary and a well known European supplier of ready-to-build-in components, which find their application in different engineering branches. Using the lost wax process the company is producing investment castings and system components primarily in small and medium sized series with a cast weight up to 35 kg and a maximum cast dimension of 400 x 400 x 300 mm.

MAGYARMET Bt. combine the reliable and precise lost wax process of precision casting with a wide range of raw materials: low- and high-alloy steels (corrosion- and heat-resistant), wear resistant alloys, bronze, Ni- and Co-based alloys. More than
85 % of the components produced are exported. Main areas of application of the products are: pumps and valves, power and chemical engineering (i.e. petrol chemistry), big engine production, food processing plant, other processing industries, instrumentation, metering, filtering, packaging equipment, architecture, medical apparatus and implants. Usual products are impellers, inducers, cutting wheels and rings, exhaust knees, valve and pump bodies, bonnets, fittings, implants etc.

Even in case of components with complex design or exotic and extraordinary alloys MAGYARMET Bt. find the way to new solutions, thus offering extra service to their customers. Engineers of the foundry participate in the development of the customers’ products by rendering technical support, giving design proposals and helping the selection of the optimal raw material, thus promoting the realisation of high standard products. The ProEngineer 2001 CAD-CAM system makes possible the electronic exchange and processing of drawings and helps shortening the time for developing new products, planning wax tools and the preparation of CNC machining of the castings in the foundry’s machine shop.

By involving subcontractors pickled, passivated, galvanized, electrolytically or mechanically polished castings, ready for assembly components and units are delivered to the clients.

MAGYARMET Bt. have developed a production technology, certified by TÜV Rheinland acc. to the requirements of European Directive 97/23/EG (AD 2000 – W 0) and by Deutsche Reichsbahn acc. their standard DB BN 918 046. The environmental management of the company is organized acc. ISO 14001. The extensive and reliable quality assurance system meets the requirements of AS 9100 (incl. ISO 9001:2000). The foundry has got a welding approval by the International Institute of Welding (ISO 3834 Part 2), as well.
